Wednesday 16th September, Working Party at Saltwick Bay , led by Ray Johnson |
|
Nine group members joined NYMNP rangers at Saltwick Bay. Their task was putting the finishing touches to a new path from the holiday park down to the beach, which has been built to replace the worn out steps. The party split into 3 groups: one group was responsible for clearing vegetation growing across the path, particularly the very "sharp" marram grass, which covers the sandy cliff here, the second group broke up stones with lump hammers to make the path bed down better and the third group built dry stone walls either end of the culverts to keep the openings clear. |
